Refund policy
Every Valeriu Furtuna piece is made to order, especially for you. Please read the conditions below before placing your order.
Changing or cancelling an order
You can change or cancel your order free of charge until production of your piece begins, so please write to us as soon as possible after ordering. Once production has started, the order can no longer be cancelled, and changes are possible only if the stage of work allows it. Once shipped, an order can no longer be changed.
Returns
Made-to-order pieces cannot be returned. Under Article 16(c) of Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014 (implementing EU Directive 2011/83/EU), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised. This includes:
- jewelry made after your order in the size, metal or stone you chose;
- engagement rings and wedding bands made especially for you;
- engraved or otherwise personalised pieces;
- bespoke designs;
- products altered at your request (for example, resizing).
In-stock items can be returned within 14 calendar days of receipt, without giving a reason. To return an item:
- Let us know at valeriufurtunadesign@gmail.com before sending the parcel, using our return form.
- Send the item within 14 days of notifying us, unworn, in perfect condition, in its original packaging, with the certificate and all documents received.
- Return shipping costs are paid by the customer. We recommend an insured, tracked service.
We will refund the amount paid, including the original delivery cost, within 14 days of the date you notified us of your withdrawal, using the same payment method. We may withhold the refund until we have received the item back.
Warranty and faulty items
Whether or not an item can be returned, you are covered by the 2-year legal guarantee of conformity under Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance no. 140/2021. If your piece has a manufacturing defect or does not match your order, write to us at valeriufurtunadesign@gmail.com with photos. We will repair or replace the piece or, if neither is possible, refund you. In these cases, shipping costs are covered by us.
The warranty does not cover normal wear, knocks, deformation or work carried out by third parties.
